Rainbows Have Nothing To Hide

2015 | Open Studio | MAFAD (Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design)

This installation combines drawing, painting, photography, and other media into a vibrant celebration of creative energy—brought to life during that year’s Open Studios at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design. As a whole, the installation resembles a creative process frozen in time, yet still full of energy and potential.

The title of the work nods to one of nature’s most vivid phenomena: the rainbow. Known for its transparent beauty, intense colors, and symbolic connection to creativity and transformation. Through this work, I aimed to echo that spirit, and invite viewers to approach the creative process with the same openness, curiosity, and sense of wonder one might feel when encountering a rainbow. Instead of presenting a fixed narrative, the installation explores the flow of creativity; how works emerge, transform, and collide in unexpected ways.
