Parallel: Art X Music

2016 | Group project / Exhibition | De Nieuwe Nor Heerlen

Parallel is an interdisciplinary project that takes place at the pop venue NIEUWE NOR. With music as a shared inspiration, Kunstbende participants, art students, and professional visual artists collaborate over the course of three months. The project emphasizes experimentation, exchange, and co-creation, offering a platform where emerging and established talents come together. Through workshops, mentoring sessions, and creative exploration, the participants collectively develop an exhibition.

During Parallel, I created a series of works that capture my personal response to some of my favorite songs. For me, the joy of making (playful, instinctive, and almost childlike) is closely tied to the power of music and the way it brings depth and happiness to everyday life.
